Melissa Brooks

Instructor

As a lifelong movement enthusiast, Pilates resonated with me from the very first class I took. It made sense in my body. For years, I was running, riding, swimming and doing various strength training exercises and getting injured all the time. Pilates helped me resolve those injuries and maintain the needed functional stability to continue doing everything I love. I've been a teacher for decades, first as a music teacher, running my own piano studio and then transitioning to Pilates teacher. I love teaching people movement that will keep them functional and mobile the rest of their lives.

Celine Li
Instructor

My name is Qing Li, also known as Celine. I started my wellness journey in Shanghai with yoga, where I discovered profound benefits of a dedicated practice. Today, over a decade later, my practice journey has evolved to encompass dynamic elements such as resistance training, High-intensity interval training (HIIT), and other various forms of cross-training workouts. It also motivated me to complete 500hr Pilates instructor certification. My goal is to inspire people to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle. In 2021, I came to the Pilates world and fell in love with it. Now, here I am, join me and let's practice together. I am also happy to share dietary, health, and other lifestyle solutions with you.

Marcela Corona-Garcia
Instructor

I grew up in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco Mexico. Twenty-three years ago, I went to my first Pilates class with my best friend, and we both fell in love with Pilates. My body had never felt so good! I knew that Pilates was going to be part of my life!

I moved to Seattle twenty years ago and in my search for Pilates, I went through many different studios. As a mother of 3 girls, I was very lucky to find a Studio that at the time was wonderful to me during my pregnancy. I took private classes to the last week before my due date. I felt so strong and full of energy!

Like many mothers, however I was so busy, working full time and raising 3 little ones. I had to take a break from Pilates and my body was not super happy. My husband enrolled me back into Pilates and I never looked back!

During Covid, my husband said maybe it is time to do what makes you happy! I started my teacher training and loved it! I have been teaching for 3 years and it has been incredible, working with amazing women and men, challenging them and seeing them getting stronger and confident!

I am so exited to work at Aya Pilates and to get to know you!

When I am not teaching Pilates, I love to cook, to walk, and to spend time with my Family that I love so much and my dog Ollie!

Our team at Aya Pilates is committed to building a community and creating a space where clients feel seen and valued, promoting a lifestyle of vitality, relaxation and balance.

Christina Ovalle

Instructor

Pilates has been one of the best things to happen to me and I want to share that joy with others. Having back issues in my early 20's, I walked through life with a lot of pain, until I found Pilates. It reduced my pain, made me feel strong and challenged me mentally and physically.

I specialize in helping folks who are new to Pilates gain confidence in their movement & improve their strength.
